Hiring Manager Interview

light
Introductory call with the Hiring Manager. Please be prepared to share your screen and walk through your portfolio. We love seeing the work - from wireframes to pixels. This is also your opportunity to showcase how you think, solve problems, and collaborate.
Duration: 45 minutes

How to prepare

Tell a clear story, not just show screens Structure each project like a narrative: problem → constraints → your approach → decisions → impact. Be ready to explain why you made choices, not just what you designed.
Show your process end-to-end Include artifacts across stages—research insights, wireframes, iterations, final UI. Highlight tradeoffs, dead ends, and how feedback (PMs, engineers, data) shaped the outcome.
Demonstrate collaboration and impact Call out how you worked with cross-functional partners and what changed because of your work (metrics, user outcomes, business impact). Hiring managers care about influence, not just craft.

Example Questions

Walk me through one of your projects—what problem were you solving and why did it matter?
