Has 1:1 catch ups with the teams to identify strenghts and weaknesses to be able to support on areas which they need development

Comfortable taking the lead on calls with the partner team
Looks to work collaboratively and upskill FOMs and FOAs where they don’t have direct experience

Takes a lead on the more complex processes and tasks such as R&D work and FP&A
Identifies new FinOps tools or processes to implement with partners
Identifies processes that could be automated and provides solutions
Demonstrates a detailed understanding of ongoing finance priorities and other tasks
Shares new tools to, as a team, “fix bikes”
Understands the plans for the business and interprets how the finance function will need to change to support them
Project plans how the FinOps function needs to develop over the next 6 months
Open with the partner and team about their knowledge and current limitations, whilst maintaining a positive problem solving mindset
Comfortable using the knowledge sharing tools available within Quantico such as the AMA channel and FinOps Forum
Always uses empathy and honestly to communicate to the team
Confident in communicating how Quantico works and potential for scope changes with partners
Understands plans for the business and how the finance team fit into them, communicating this to the wider finance team
Provides fast and honest feedback to the teams, helping them identify areas of strength and weakness

Works with the partner to foster discussion about current tools with a focus on future planning
Identifies gaps in the FinOps function to be able to carry out a 6 month plan and makes approporiate requests to change the resources available
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to design financial models, providing insights and recommendations for partners
Leads the automation efforts of key FinOps processes, streamlining workflows, and increasing efficiency
Acts as a mentor or sounding board for FOMs and FOAs, identifying areas where they can be upskilled and progress
Takes time to understand themselves and how individuals within the team work and shapes their approach accordingly
Is on top of project deadlines and communicates progress (good or bad) effectively with the partner

Demonstrates to the partner team the improvements in the finance team over time through the projects undertaken

Uses their experience to give honest feedback or advice to partners and the team
Helps the team progress by taking an active approach to feedback
Is open and honest with the partner about the time taken to complete tasks, particularly where this was longer than expected

Champions a culture of innovation within the finance team, fostering an environment that encourages experimentation and continuous improvement
