Basic knowledge of UK accounting treatments (UK GAAP) Manages the bookeeping Keeps finance inbox at mailbox zero Clears bank reconciliations down to zero weekly, with any unreconciled items followed up Competent in use of bookkeeping software, such as Dext Takes ownership of BAU (eg. bookkeeping, unreconciled statements, etc) Utilises Process Street - or equivalent - to complete work within deadlines Asks questions to help understand the Partner’s business Takes ownership of some basic month end tasks (eg. prepayments, accruals) depending on complexity Sets up payment runs for review by FinOps Managers
Absorbs information by reading through wikis Has the confidence to ask plenty of questions Has basic email and communication skills. For example, uses internal Slack channels to provide updates on progress Proactive in approaching BAU tasks Cognizant of smaller details in BAU work

Performs basic month end tasks (eg. prepayments, accruals) other than basic bookkeeping and reconciliations Looks for opportunities to assist with management accounts and provides analysis where relevant Prepares payroll for review, with any queries/changes highlighted to the FinOps Manager Manages VAT returns independently Comfortable managing Dext, using automation where possible Comfortable taking up ad-hoc queries Able to critically analyse financial data from a reporting perspective; highlighting unusual items Possesses basic knowledge of Coda and Process Street, using them to effectively undertake BAU tasks
Confident raising queries and concerns on Partner channels Participates in weekly internal and external (where relevant) catch ups Communicates openly about their priorities and work with Managers Being able to manage Partner expectations around BAU tasks & any direct Partner requests outside the normal BAU scope

Prioritises month-end tasks, completing them on time. Utilises automation where possible Possesses complete ownership of BAU (eg. bookkeeping, unreconciled statements, etc), clearing down problem items without Manager input Updating Process Street and Coda with any updates to processes/systems as required Owning BS reconciliations, where relevant Confident reviewing receivables and suggesting methods to communicate any issues. For example, emailing customers to chase possible bad debt Prepares payroll and attempts to clear any issues proactively ahead of Manager review Confident collating information for R&D (with direction from Manager) and possesses a basic understanding of the Quantico R&D template Recommends process improvements for BAU, where possible

Proactively checks if there are scheduled Partner calls during Manager absence and step in to fill the role of the Manager on these calls Demonstrates initiative in asking for more complex work Is assertive in communicating and confident in decision-making, ensuring the team’s objectives are met without succumbing to people-pleasing behaviors Recognises the importance of setting boundaries and communicating effectively to avoid overtime with partners for a sustainable work environment

Confident in managing Partner work in absence of a Manager Expert in VAT returns, dealing with variances and missing receipts Confident preparing management accounts, understanding trends and variances and suggests improvements, where relevant Recommends improvements for payment run processes Having been provided working papers, confident preparing R&D in Taxfiler for review and submission by a Manager Efficient in using Coda and other wider software stacks within Quantico Confident changing the existing software or providing viable alternatives of software Looks for opportunities to answer queries in AMA channel Supports Managers and Leads in maintaining Coda or other (particularly at the time of transition of new partners)
