Find the Job on Craigslist
Search for local listings in categories like Moving, Cleaning, Junk Removal, Labor gigs, etc. If phone number is provided, call immediately. If no phone number, reply via Craigslist/email with a short version of the script. Initial Call Script
Use this script when calling:
"Hi, is this the person who posted the [moving/cleaning/etc.] job on Craigslist?
My name is [Your Name]. I’m calling to see if we can help you today or tomorrow with your job.
We specialize in fast and affordable home services. Just wondering—is the job still available?"
Ask Initial Questions (If Job Is Available) - Only use this if the job is for cleaning, junk removal and etc.
“Great! Just want to get a few quick details so I can give you a quote and check availability for today or tomorrow.”
Ask:
Type of job? (Moving, cleaning, junk removal, etc.) Location of job? (Full address or cross streets) For moving: Pick-up and drop-off locations Size of the job? (Number of rooms, estimated load) Stairs, elevators, or special instructions? Do you have a budget in mind? Or looking for the best quote? Proceed to this Important Questions if it’s a Moving Jobs
(If the job is a move, ask all of the following)
Pickup and drop-off location? Preferred move date and time? Any large or fragile items? Need assembly/disassembly? Estimate of boxes, bags, or loose items? Truck size needed? (Or offer recommendation) Do you have pictures of the items? Log in Daily Service Page (Coda)
Open the Daily Service Page. Navigate to the correct date. Right-click > Create Event > Add job info gathered. Truck & Movers Quote
Say:
“Thanks for the info! What truck size do you think you’ll need, and how many movers?”
Let the customer answer.
Then:
“For that truck size and number of movers, based on the details, we charge [check Payment Links Page for rate] for the first 3 hours and $89/hour after.
Due to the number of movers or job specifics, the price might adjust slightly.”
“Hold on one sec while I confirm your special quote.”
Contact Rolston or Nicole for rate confirmation. Finalize the quote based on confirmed info. Close & Secure the Booking
You:
So the total service charge would be $400, deposit is 200. Would you like to reserve your spot now while we still have availability?”
If yes:
“To confirm the booking, I’ll need your full name, best contact number, and email.”
After collecting:
“Thanks! I’ll send a secure deposit link now. I’ll send it to this email unless you prefer a different one?”
Template:
Subject: Grandson Movers – Deposit Payment Link
Hi [Customer’s name],
Thank you for choosing Grandson Movers! To confirm your booking, please complete your deposit using the secure payment link below:
[Insert Payment Link Here]
Once your deposit is received, we’ll lock in your scheduled service and send over a full confirmation with all the details.
If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to reply to this email or give us a call.

Once paid:

Send Confirmation & Update Systems
Go to Missive – Send customer a confirmation email. Return to Daily Service Page – Update the event with confirmed status. Inform Rolston and Nicole about the closed deal to help look for contractors. Find Movers
Open the Contractors Page in Coda. Look for movers in the customer’s service area (they’re labeled by location). Always check notes because some of them are movers only and etc. Call available contractors:
“Hi, I have a job in [City/Area] — are you available on [Date]? The rate is [Quote]. Here are the job detai
