Event Overview/Objectives
The exhibition took place at the IUKL Student Hub, Level 5, Block 11, and was open to visitors from 9:00 am onwards. The formal presentation was scheduled for 3:00 pm. The event aimed to provide a platform for students to present their projects related to the 'IUKL's Pedestrian Walkway Revitalization,' which they had been diligently working on for the past two weeks before the event.
Event Highlights
The exhibition featured an array of architectural projects, models, and presentations created by Design Studio 3A students. These projects exhibited a remarkable blend of creativity, functionality, and sustainable design principles, addressing the challenge of revitalizing IUKL's pedestrian walkways.
Conceptual Models: Students presented detailed conceptual models of their proposed walkway revitalization projects. These models provided a tangible representation of the innovative design solutions.
Visual Presentations: Visual presentations and posters accompanied each project, offering comprehensive explanations of the design concepts, materials used, and the envisioned impact on the campus walkways.
Interactive Displays: All projects have incorporated walkthrough animation, allowing attendees to immerse themselves in the proposed designs and experience the potential transformations firsthand.
Events Outcomes

A: IUKL Gateway

The main objective of this project is to create a new interactive gateway to IUKL’s Pedestrian Walkway (currently a missing component). The site is in between DeCentrum and Prostaco HQ. Micro mobility facility is also tried to be promoted by the students as a new mode of transit within the campus.

B. Green Hub (Block A Cross)

The main objective of this stop is to function as the main transit point for student to change to their preferred mode of transit. Rather than driving, they are encouraged to use to the more sustainable and healthy modes of transit.

C. Street Loop (Unipark Way In))

The main objective of this stop is to study the possibility of having a side entrance from UniPark Suria straight to the campus vicinity. Currently there is no proper walkway that is safe for the students to reach the university.

D. Ikram Lodge

The main objective of this stop is enhance the frontage of IKRAM Lodge. It is also a stop at the halfway of the walkway where the students can stop, interact and refresh themselves. The design was trying to take advantage of the current facilities such as the mosque and courts as reflection on a balanced student lifestyle.

E. VC Square

The main objective of this stop is to enhance the frontage of VC’s office as well as creating a public square for the students. The square can be utilised for formal and informal occasion for the whole community within the university.

F. Green Carpark

The main objective of this project is to transform the current barren carpark area to a more ‘park feel’ type of parking area, giving a better image to the main approach to the campus vicinity. It soften the space and provide a better impression towards IUKL.

Conclusion
The Architecture Exhibition at IUKL's Student Hub on 7th December 2023 was a resounding success, highlighting the talents and creativity of our Design Studio 3A students. The projects presented were a testament to their hard work and dedication in addressing the revitalization of IUKL's pedestrian walkways. We hope that this event has provided valuable insights and inspiration for future developments on our campus.
