During your industrial training, the company hosting you will play a crucial role in your professional development. Here are the responsibilities that the company may uphold to ensure a valuable learning experience for you, and in return, you need to perform significantly throughout your training:
Training and Supervision:
A qualified Field Supervisor will be assigned to guide and mentor you throughout your training period.
You will be provided with hands-on training opportunities in various aspects of architectural and landscape architectural practices.
Work Environment:
The company will create a supportive work environment that encourages learning and professional growth.
All safety regulations will be adhered to, and you will be made aware of and expected to follow all safety protocols.
Task Assignment:
Tasks and projects relevant to your academic background and learning objectives will be assigned to you.
You will be given challenging tasks that help you develop practical skills and apply theoretical knowledge.
Assessment and Feedback:
Your progress will be monitored through weekly assessments conducted by your Field Supervisor.
Regular feedback will be provided to highlight your strengths and areas for improvement.
Documentation and Reporting:
You will be expected to maintain daily logs of your work and learning experiences.
The company will assist you in preparing your Industry Training Report by providing the necessary information and insights.
Professional Development:
You will be encouraged to attend workshops, seminars, and other professional development activities.
Networking opportunities with professionals in the field will be facilitated to help you build a professional network.
Collaboration with the University:
The company will coordinate with your Academic Supervisor to ensure alignment between academic and practical training.
Updates on your progress will be provided, and discussions will be held to address any areas of concern or improvement.
Discipline:
You are expected to abide by the company’s rules and regulations at all times.
This includes adhering to the company’s code of conduct, work hours, dress code, and any other policies specific to the organisation.
The company has the right to take disciplinary action if you fail to comply with its rules and regulations.
Disciplinary actions may include warnings, suspension from training activities, or other measures deemed appropriate by the company.
