Educonnect provides a feature which allows to add events dynamically. Under the events section of the public portal, the newly added events are displayed.
Steps to add Events
Go to the events menu on the left navigation menu after logging into the system.
** Permission of the Events to make it accessible can be managed from the Roles.
Click on Add New button to add new event.
The Add new button when clicked directs to a new create page.
To create an event, all of the required fields, which are shown by an asterisk (*), must be filled out.
After all of the field are filled in the user can click on the save button choosing the status they want their event to be in.
Event URL: This field allows the user to add the URL or link to the events page. The Join button the event card when clicked directs the user to the events page.
Free Event: The free event checkbox when checked brings a ribbon like banner on the events card to denote the event is free. If the check box is not checked the banner is not shown denoting the event not free.
1. Filter: The filter allows the user to filter the added events. User can search from text box, date and status.
The filter is set to status Published in default i.e. the grid always displays published events. By default, published events are displayed in the grid. The user must filter by altering the status on the available status of the filter in order to view deleted or unpublished events.
2. Status button: The Status button allows the user to modify the event's status by selecting the appropriate button. The status of the added events can be changed by the user in batches.
3. Add New: The Add New button allows the user to add new events. The Add new button when clicked directs the user to create page.
4. Action (Pencil Icon): Users can edit or change the newly added events by clicking the pencil symbol in the action column. When the pencil button is pressed, the user is taken to an update page where they can edit or modify the added events.
** Date and Time: The current time and date are converted to AEDT. On the public event page, the events are shown by converting the local added time to AEDT.
