How much time does parents spend helping their kids in learning

The amount of time parents spend helping their kids with learning can vary widely depending on a number of factors such as the age of the child, the subject being studied, and the family's schedule and priorities. However, according to a 2020 survey by the National Center for Education Statistics, 43% of parents with children in elementary and middle school reported spending 1-2 hours per week helping with homework or schoolwork, while 33% reported spending 3 or more hours per week. The survey also found that parents of high school students tended to spend less time helping with homework, with 47% reporting spending 1-2 hours per week and 19% reporting spending 3 or more hours per week. It's worth noting that these figures represent only the time parents spend helping with homework and schoolwork, and do not include other forms of learning support and enrichment activities that parents may engage in with their children.
