Plato’s offline mode is designed to help you stay productive even when working in areas with limited or no internet connectivity.
To use the offline mode, you will need to download your properties on Plato. Once this is done, you can create notes even when you are disconnected from the internet. In this guide, we will look at how syncing your property data on Plato works.
So that you ensure all your notes, images, and videos are securely stored and accessible across devices, and you can enjoy conducting your site audits seamlessly!
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Download a Property for Offline Use
Before heading to a site, ensure you download the property you want to work on while connected to Wi-Fi. This will allow you to access it later without an internet connection.
Step 2: Create Notes in Offline Mode
When offline, you can create notes, add images, or record videos directly in Plato. These notes are geo-tagged and saved locally on your mobile device.
Step 3: Understand Unsynced Changes
While your device is offline, the updates you make will appear as "unsynced changes." This status means your data is safely stored locally but not yet uploaded to Plato’s cloud servers.
Step 4: Reconnect to Wi-Fi
To sync your changes, open the Plato app on your mobile device when connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data.
Step 5: Watch the Sync in Progress
The app will automatically begin syncing your unsaved notes. You can monitor the progress within the app’s sync status indicator.
