Rec Instructor Guidelines

Rec is building the biggest community of recreational sports players in the world. Help us keep the community playing, happy, and welcoming to all

Respect above all: It’s the golden rule for a reason! Everyone on the court is an equal and should be treated with respect. No harassment, discrimination, bullying, or other aggressive behavior will be tolerated.
Make it fun: We take instruction and coaching seriously, but at the end of the day it’s just a game! Strive to balance effective teaching with helping players discover the fun of the game during classes or lessons.
Keep it professional: Respond to client messages quickly, show up on time, be prepared for class, keep a professional demeanor, and arrive with all needed equipment. Let clients know at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel a lesson.
Transact on the platform: All lessons and classes that take place on Rec-powered facilities need to be scheduled and paid for on the Rec platform. This helps Rec provide the best customer experience, manage court access, and keep everyone safe.
Stay up to date: Update your availability regularly so players and Rec know how and when they can connect with you. Players can only discover and book time with you if your information is accurate.
Keep Everything Above Board: Illegal activity will not be tolerated on Rec — online, or on Rec-powered courts. This may result in being banned or restricted from the Rec platform, and/or being reported to the authorities
