What is Crewmates?

Crewmates is a social accountability platform. We match you with a small group of peers working on similar goals for a 3-month sprint. Success is easier when you have a crew to support you.

How does it work?

The program runs from January 19th to March 27th. It has two main components:
Weekly Live Sessions: You will meet with your crew 9 times. These are 50-minute, facilitated video calls where you discuss progress, setbacks, and next steps.
Private Group Chat: A dedicated space to share wins, vent, or get feedback between live sessions.

What kind of goals do group members have?

People join Crewmates to work on the goals that matter to them more than anyone else. Things like:
Starting a business or side hustle
Finding a new job or changing careers
Writing a book, or finishing your graduate thesis
Meeting a fitness goal — rehabbing an injury, or improving your mile time
Learning a new skill set
The best goals are ones where you’ll be working on them 3-7 days/week, but will see progress only on the timescale of weeks and months. These are the goals that are hardest to keep up because the rewards feel disconnected from the effort that goes into them.
When you’re filling out the application, be as specific as possible about what you’re working on. For example, instead of “starting a new business”, tell us “opening up a neighborhood coffee shop”. This will help us match you with people who are in similar circumstances.

When will the meetings be?

When you apply to the program, you’ll be asked to pick a set of meeting times that will work for you. All meetings are scheduled to be 50 minutes long.
You’ll meet 9 times between January 19th and March 27th. We ask that you commit to attending at least 7 of these meetings — if you’re repeatedly absent, you’ll be removed from the program.

When will I find out if I’m matched?

You’ll be notified if you’re matched with a crew for our upcoming cohort January 12th, 2026. At that point, you’ll receive an email with what to expect in the coming weeks, as well as a Stripe link for payment.

How much does Crewmates cost?

We operate on a pay-what-you-want model. We suggest a minimum contribution of $30 to cover facilitation and software costs. Payment details will be sent if you are matched with a crew.

How is this different from a support group?

Support groups typically focus on emotional coping. Crewmates is an accountability program, focused on action. While we provide empathy and encouragement, the primary goal is structure and momentum. We help you set weekly targets and hold you to them.

What are the community rules for Crewmates?

Our golden rule: be the crewmate for others that you want others to be for you. Celebrate your peers’ wins, give them the support they’re looking for when they’re struggling. Sometimes that means advice, sometimes that just means being there to vent.
Beyond that:
Confidentiality: What is shared in the group stays in the group.
Presence: Attend live sessions and avoid multitasking.
Respect: No insults, harassment, or demeaning language.
Share the Air: Don't hog the mic; ensure everyone gets time to speak.
If you encounter issues with another community member, reach out to .

What are the attendance requirements?

Consistency creates trust. When signing up, you should plan to attend 7 of the 9 meetings.
If you miss more than 3 meetings without prior coordination, you will be removed from the program to protect the group dynamic.

Are there any in-person meetings?

Right now Crewmates is 100% virtual. If there’s enough demand, we’ll try to add this to future cohorts.

What if I don’t like the crew that I’m matched with?

We do our best to bring together people with similar goals and attitudes to make for the most positive and productive sessions. That said, sometimes the chemistry just isn’t there. If you don’t like your crew after your first meeting, reach out to your facilitator or to . We’ll either rematch you with another group or process a refund.
Crewmates has a strict no-harassment policy. If you have concerns about any community member, please reach out out to right away.

My question isn’t answered here, how can I get in touch?
