Credit Recovery

Students who are currently enrolled in Edgenuity during the school day and/or have a 5th block class have now been contacted weekly by their mentor to support their progress. Students are to complete their course work by FRIDAY MAY 31, 2024. Parents have been notified if students are behind with their progress. Students are encouraged to attend the Credit Recovery Lab that meets on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays in room 230 from 2:30-4:00pm. Community Information

Spring cleaning? Bring your clothes you would like to donate and donate them to the green bin located by the visitor football parking lot. We will receive a monthly monetary percentage each month per pound of clothes donated.

Restroom Use - Reminder

As a reminder - during the instructional day, there is one restroom available for student use on each floor. All other restrooms are closed and clearly marked off with stanchions and signage.
Students found in closed off restrooms are considered Trespassing (Out of Area) and will be disciplined according to the PHS Discipline Matrix and CMS Code of Conduct.

Cell Phone Procedures

We are continuing our updated cell phone procedures, which began last week:
Teachers will collect cell phones at the beginning of class and lock them in a cell phone storage locker. Cell phones will be handed back by the teacher in the last 5 minutes of class.
This policy will ensure that classroom environments are conducive for optimal student engagement.
Students who fail to turn in cell phones can be disciplined according to the CMS Student of Conduct for insubordination.

Early release students

Early release students are not permitted to remain on campus and must leave campus immediately after their last class (including homeroom)
ALL Students must attend Homeroom that occurs on Thursday after 2nd block. If students have early release for 3rd and 4th block, they must still attend homeroom. Important information is being given during this time. Students can then leave after homeroom has concluded.
Consequences include loss of driving/parking privileges and addition of full class schedule (all 4 blocks) for those that cannot leave campus.

Food Drop-offs

This is a reminder that parents may drop off food for their child. However, we will not be accepting any 3rd party food deliveries for students. Palisades High School is not responsible for any food that is brought in by a parent. Food will be left and housed in the visitor vestibule. 3rd party food deliveries will be confiscated by PHS.
