Look through the materials provided to students for the lesson.
Spend 5-7 minutes talking about, explaining, asking questions and introducing materials (aka vocabulary) to students.
Make sure they now understand how to use it.

▶️ You goal is to make students realize that they actually learned something today
▫ Does social media contribute to the fake news problem? ▫ Is the news more biased today than it was 30 years ago? ▫ Why some people refuse to believe evidence? ▫ Can you change your mind about something and admit you were wrong? ▫ Do you have a confirmation bias against something/somebody? ▫ Can independent journalism survive today?

▫ There's evidence of aliens in Area 51. ▫ There's a special small group of people who control the world (Illuminati). ▫ Climate change is a hoax created by the Chinese government. ▫ Vaccines lead to autism. ▫ AIDS was created by the CIA to wipe out homosexuals.
Spend 5-7 minutes discussing the mistakes people made.
Give good and bad examples of how the vocabulary you discussed in the beginning was used during the lesson.
