Deadline Policy

This policy ensures clear, reliable project timelines across the team.

1. Deadline Commitment and Setting

Agreement is Mandatory: All deadlines must be set and agreed upon by the team member and the respective Project Manager/Lead before work begins.
Accurate Estimation: If a team member is unsure about a task's complexity, they must immediately inform the Project Manager/Lead to get time for an accurate effort estimation.

2. Progress & Obstacle Reporting

Daily Communication: Team members must ensure daily feedback on task status and progress.
Immediate Issue Reporting: Any technical difficulty (e.g., internet outage, software crash, tool update, blocking issue) must be reported to the Producer immediately. Do not wait to report an issue.

3. Managing Task Changes and Dependencies

New Task Adjustment: If a new, unexpected task is assigned, the team member must immediately communicate the need to readjust the current deadline. Appropriate time will be granted.
Requesting Support: If a team member needs support from another colleague, they must communicate this need to the Producer so the Producer can officially allocate the required personnel.

4. Accountability and Reliability

No Last-Minute Excuses: The deadline is a firm commitment. Excuses on the final due date will not be entertained. Communicate status and potential delays well in advance.
Consistent Failure to Meet Deadlines: Reliability is critical to our team's success. If an individual is consistently missing deadlines and causing project disruption, a formal explanation will be required to develop a corrective plan and ensure a smoother process going forward.
