Facilities

A noticing is a moment from your teaching practice which caused some emotional response in you, e.g. a successful, problematic or puzzling episode. An example noticing is already on your noticing board.
Mentorials are stepped, guided one-to-one reflective sessions with a mentor, who in this case is the AI.
Conversations are one-to-one back-and-forths with the AI, and are made up of messages.
Messages can be created using keyboard or voice by clicking on the microphone icon when available, and any audio messages will be responded to with AI voice.
After a conversation, you will have access to a report, which may contain any of a summary, sentiment analysis, theories/understandings which were referenced during a conversation.
Insights come from mentorials; they are moments of realisation or understanding which you have had as a result of reflecting on your noticing.
Commitments also come from mentorials; they are aspects that you set yourself to work on in your practice going forward as a result of reflecting on your noticing.
Like other mentorials, plans are stepped, guided conversations with Noticing to help you plan an activity, e.g. a lesson.
Your scrap book is a place to jot down or upload an image connected noticings, insights and commitments - it is there to remind, enhance or add context.
Your profile is a collection of personal data which is passed to the AI as context during mentorials to allow its responses to be more personalised.

Entities

AI is a collective noun which encapsulates a large variety of interactions with artificially intelligent systems and models to produce meaningful responses to your inputs.
The AI takes the place of, and assists your mentor, who is anybody that you would usually look to have one-to-one reflective practice with. Your mentor may also mentor others within a division.
An organisational unit may have a number of mentors working with individuals, and be overseen by a coordinator.

Functional

You will access Noticing at subdomain.noticing.network, and everyone that uses the same domain is part of the same unit.
is the authentication system used by Noticing, and you will be forwarded to their website to log in before being brought back to your domain.

Other

Arts-based reflective practice, including when facilitated by AI, is a method of self-inquiry and critical reflection that utilizes creative arts as a medium for exploration and expression. It involves engaging in artistic activities such as painting, sculpting, dancing, or writing, as a way to reflect on personal experiences, emotions, and thoughts. This practice allows individuals to gain new insights, make connections, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their experiences.
Blackout poetry, also known as erased poetry or found poetry, is a form of creative expression where a poem is created by selectively obscuring or deleting words from an existing text, typically a newspaper article, book page, or other written source. The poet then chooses which words to keep visible, forming a new poem from the remaining words. This process involves redacting or "blacking out" the unnecessary words, and encourages creativity, close reading, and a playful approach to language and composition.
