SnapLink is a Chrome browser extension that helps users copy, organize, and reuse their most visited links through keyboard shortcuts and a local link history. We value your privacy and have designed SnapLink with data minimalism and transparency in mind.
1. Data Collection
SnapLink does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
We do not collect:
Personal identifiable information (e.g., name, email, address) Financial, health, or authentication data Browsing history or web activity Location or device identifiers Any analytics or usage data 2. Local Storage
SnapLink stores link history and extension settings locally on your device using Chrome’s chrome.storage.local API. This data is never transmitted to external servers.
Locally stored data includes:
A list of your saved or pinned URLs Titles and timestamps associated with those links Your extension preferences (e.g., number of saved links, shortcut preferences, UI theme) You may clear this data at any time through the extension’s settings interface.
3. Permissions Used
SnapLink uses the following Chrome permissions strictly to enable its functionality:
activeTab: to read the current tab’s URL and title when a link is saved storage: to store your links and settings locally scripting: to inject safe, local scripts for clipboard copying notifications: to display optional “link copied” alerts contextMenus: to offer right-click save functionality No permissions are used for tracking, advertising, or background monitoring.
4. Data Sharing
SnapLink does not share, sell, or transmit any data to third parties. All extension features run entirely in your browser without external communication.
5. Security
SnapLink does not load any remote code or scripts. All logic and assets are bundled in the extension package to prevent injection risks. Clipboard access is user-initiated, and the extension operates only when triggered by the user.
6. Changes
If this privacy policy is updated, we will reflect the change date at the top of this page. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically if you continue to use the extension.
