SnapLink is a Chrome browser extension that helps users copy, organize, and reuse their most visited links through keyboard shortcuts and a local link history. We value your privacy and have designed SnapLink with data minimalism and transparency in mind.

1. Data Collection

SnapLink does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
We do not collect:
Personal identifiable information (e.g., name, email, address)
Financial, health, or authentication data
Browsing history or web activity
Location or device identifiers
Any analytics or usage data

2. Local Storage

SnapLink stores link history and extension settings locally on your device using Chrome’s chrome.storage.local API. This data is never transmitted to external servers.
Locally stored data includes:
A list of your saved or pinned URLs
Titles and timestamps associated with those links
Your extension preferences (e.g., number of saved links, shortcut preferences, UI theme)
You may clear this data at any time through the extension’s settings interface.

3. Permissions Used

SnapLink uses the following Chrome permissions strictly to enable its functionality:
activeTab: to read the current tab’s URL and title when a link is saved
storage: to store your links and settings locally
scripting: to inject safe, local scripts for clipboard copying
notifications: to display optional “link copied” alerts
contextMenus: to offer right-click save functionality
No permissions are used for tracking, advertising, or background monitoring.

4. Data Sharing

SnapLink does not share, sell, or transmit any data to third parties. All extension features run entirely in your browser without external communication.

5. Security

SnapLink does not load any remote code or scripts. All logic and assets are bundled in the extension package to prevent injection risks. Clipboard access is user-initiated, and the extension operates only when triggered by the user.

6. Changes

If this privacy policy is updated, we will reflect the change date at the top of this page. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically if you continue to use the extension.
