✅ Final Steps to Gain Ownership Over the Code Repo

If not done already:

Go to

https://github.com/organizations/new⁠

⁠

Name it (e.g., yourcompany)

Invite your team (optional)

⁠

They should:

Go to the repo settings

Scroll down to "Danger Zone"

Click “Transfer ownership”

Enter your GitHub org name (yourcompany) or personal account

Confirm by typing the repo name

⁠

You (your org or user account) will get:

A notification and/or email

You must accept the transfer to complete it

⁠

Once you own it:

Add the agency as a collaborator or admin (if needed)

Restrict, revoke, or control access as you see fit
