Picking a Paid Ads Platform
Depends on Your Audience
You want to be able to easily target your audience
Where do they hang out? Where do they exchange information?
1 - Bringing in New People
Get new users to your website that havent heard of your company or product
They can either be aware of the problem beforehand or not
2 - Remarketing
Even if you are not paying for people to come to your website in the first place you should set this up
Setting up your Remarketing tags or pixels means you retarget people who have visited your site
These tend to have the highest return on ad spend
Social Media Platforms
Examples
FB
Snapchat
Pinterest
TikTok
Reddit
You need to stop the scroll creating very enticing offers
Search ads
Bing or Google Search
Intent based, can target all sorts of different intentions from mildly aware of the problem to your exact product
Clicks can be expensive depending on your niche but it can show a hi conversion rate
YT ads
Only pay when a person watches for 5 sec or more
You can target certain YT channels or videos
Display ads
Shown on sites such as blogs, can be done through google display network
Probably best for remarketing
Important Metrics
ROAS or return on ad spend
These platforms can be very expensive, many of them can drain your budget
CPC (cost per click)
How much are you paying for click?
Conversion Rate
How many people are completing your goal?
Cold Traffic Ad Strategies
1: Direct to Trial/Purchase
These are the most straightforward
Sending your customers to a landing page to convince them to signup right away
Works better for lower-priced products, if your product is USD 200 a month it may be harder to convince them
2: Lead Generation
Give them something informational for free
Checklists or PDFs, some type of value
That they'll need, collect their email address and then can follow up with them
This allows you to build a relationsip
3: Give Them the Manual Method
Give them a manual way to do what your SaaS does automatically
Accounting app? give them acc spreadsheet
An app that helps find influencers? give them a PDF with a bunch of them
AI copywriting? give them template on how to write copy
4: Contests
Giving away something in exchange for contact info
Similar to lead magnet, but giving away a prize instead
Make it easy to share via different platforms
5: Webinars
Host live or pre-rec workshops where you are giving away lots of value in your niche
Typically it's a presentation that lasts 1-3 hours
Your adver strategy should focus on encouraging people to register for these workshops, after which you can introduce our services and make sales pitches at the end
