About Me

My name is Minje Kim, and I was born and raised in South Korea until I moved to the States in 5th grade. The only motive was my urge and passion towards military aviation and specifically towards being a fighter pilot for the USAF. I was always around the west coast which I first started my academic career in the states in the state of Washington, around a city called Bellevue, just across the downtown of Seattle. During my sophomore year of high school, I moved myself down to the bay area for better vision and opportunities within academics which the graduation and the admission to Purdue has kept my passion up, if not grown.

Academics 🏫

I am currently a sophomore in Purdue SATT (School of Aviation Technology and Transportation), majoring in UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems) with Part 107 Certificate approved and provided by the FAA. I was always a student with dedicated passionate in the fields of Aviation with STEM and specifically towards subjects directly related to aviation, such as math, physics, and engineering. As a professional student for the majority of my life, I can proudly say no matter how hard the task is, anything can be attempted and achieved with passion and a right mindset. This was also proven towards my last 2 years of high school as the last 2 years was not only my new start but also the only time left within college admissions which will be elaborated more on the personal section below.

Personal 🙋‍♂️

I was always just a kid wanting to dive and struggle throughout the fields of aviation, despite my clear destination of becoming a pilot as I am a strong believer that experiences and struggles are the most effective materials when developing a person in all aspects. I also deeply believe that passion is my resource into all of my commitments whether the process is harsh or not as briefly mentioned above in academics. I have a define proof due to the level of skill I was able to reach and the accomplishments I was able to achieve with a video game called ‘Overwatch’ as I was able to achieve a notorious title of reaching Top 10 in North America from the lowest rank possible in the game within a time span of 2 years. I had completely let down my academics during my prime times which I had to move myself south to the bay area for a new environmental start which I feel like was a great turning point and a success in the academics of my life. I have also learned that almost anything is possible by my actions with carelessness in academics and also how to not put myself into any of the situations again.
