In order to understand our true cost of Software & System Maintenance, we need to revise our philosophy and usage of ConnectWise.
When we clock our time to the correct buckets, we will convert this to a quantifiable dollar and transfer to financial records

Problem

The organization lacks the transparency needed to understand what it means to investment in our team & therefore inhibits our speed of sound, long-term decisions on where we spend our time.
For example, Software & System Maintenance time & energy has been significant - and, generally, grows with each new Application/Module/Feature we put into production. Without adding more resources, the more Maintenance we accumulate the lower our capacity to take on new Application/Modules/Features.
Although this is obvious to many, our organizational understanding has taken years to unpack. Even though our shared understanding has increased, it is done through conversations and presentations.
Having a system to quantify the costs and memorize this reality (Income Statement) institutionalizes & the time and energy to education is lowered and we now have tabigility to our decisions (quick & dirty eq higher maintanence costs /
