Zelus

Zelus is an internal tool to emulate NYT apps and can be used to test our Ads on them.

Installation

The contains the information required to install Zelus on your machine.
You might encounter some errors. Try to search for solved issue in the channel, or ask for support in it.

Known Issues

VPN

Being connected to our company VPN is required to use Zelus.

Install additional simulator runtimes

The current Zelus tool might require a different version of the iOS simulator runtime, compared to the one installed on your machine. From the XCode Settings, .

Once installed, Zelus will ask which version to use during its startup. If you encounter issues, you might want to use older runtimes.

Delete the XCode cache

Refer to to delete your XCode cache.
Open System Settings
Search Storage >> Developer
Delete Xcode caches, project archives and project build data

Workflow

keywords Testing

Once you are running the NYT app in a simulator, from the user profile, you have access to some special settings. In them, you can set the GAM keyword needed to preview specific units. The app must save the setting and restart to apply the correct keyword.
