Feedback from Venture & Innovation Summits
Based on the feedback from the events, it was a great opportunity to learn more about what 1809 is up to and meet University leaders and alumni. However, some attendees assumed there would be an opportunity to hear about how to get involved with 1809, including becoming investors, but that was not the case in Cleveland and therefore some attendees were confused as to what the point of the event was.
On the other hand, some attendees found the events to be excellent, with Brad’s insights being amazing and John and Mark doing an excellent job leading their portions of the event. The average organizational score for the events was 8, 7, 9, respectively.
Regarding networking opportunities, some attendees thought it was fine, but suggested that some facilitated introductions at future events would be helpful. Additionally, some attendees said “Yes" to attending future events and had suggestions for improvement.
To improve future events, it would be helpful to provide more information on how to get involved with 1809 and offer facilitated introductions for networking. Specifically, for the San Francisco and Cleveland events, there were concerns about the lack of information on getting involved with 1809.
