Posted on 2020-05-22 on my : It's surprising to me how much cryonicists and death positive people share instrumental goals, and would form a great coalition.
Shared agenda:
- Talking about / reducing the taboo around death is beneficial
- Communicating advance medical directives and sharing your end-of-life wishes is useful
- The mainstream burial methods are not the most effective (too expensive or too destructive)
- People should be able to use assisted suicide / pre-emptive cryonics
The underlying theme is: empower people to be the master of their own destiny.
