Release Notes Version 2.23

Executive Summary:

In this release (2.23), we have tried to improve our production velocity, with an aim to ship a release every 3 weeks; to support our clients, Ops and new business priorities.

In this release, we pushed key hotfixes to support Viacom onboarding, and delivered key requests for Zee/IMG/Sony based on Ops feedback.

In addition to this, we implemented general improvements around live editor, clip-edit pages and improved super admin workflows for access control and storage allocation; and implemented minor Ops workflow improvements across web-story, clip-edit and highlight pages.

I would like to thank the engineering (dev/QA), AI and program teams for all their efforts and acknowledge the continued guidance from our leadership in making our releases successful.

Major Features

Client Specific:

Viacom: Ability to assign ratings to clips and filter out clips for highlights/web stories based on ratings.

Zee: Added change speed option for clips in dynamic cropper.

IMG: Improved stream archival and deletion handling for parent/child accounts.

General Features:

Live Editor: User interface enhancements and improved clip ordering & tagging.

Clip-Edit Page: Enhanced clip trimming UI.

Dashboard Access Control: Added control for new features.

Super Admin: Centralized storage allocation for administrators and users.

Minor Features

Ops Workflow Improvements:

Various enhancements across web stories, clip-edit, and highlight pages.

Web Stories: User interface enhancements, including pre-fill storage settings at the stream level.

Clip-Edit UI: Added preview options for trim and change speed functionalities.

Large File Uploads: Now supports files greater than 40 MB.

UI Improvements: Better aspect ratio and resolution display for URLs in the add new video UI.

Bulk Download: Clips now have defined clip names as per the dashboard.

Cloud Upload: Pre-filled timeline marker values when uploading clips to the cloud.

Highlights Page: Improved title visibility.

Fade In/Fade Out: Separate options for clip and highlight level in ops workflow.

Hotfixes/AI Deployments:

XML generation for Viacom.

JSON enhancements for Sony.

SRT manual clip cutting improvements to reduce start time delay, resulting in faster clip generation.

Fixes for live editor and highlight chunk break and Video player issues.

Appendix/Known Issues

Some scenarios experience issues with audio fade in/fade out. This is under investigation and requires UAT observations/testing from Ops.
