Review

The Review View serves as a centralized hub for supervisors, leads, and clients to inspect, playback, and provide feedback on the latest iterations of a project. It is designed to streamline the quality control process by organizing versions into manageable project lists and providing quick access to playback tools.
Reviewers can see versions only for Active projects they are assigned to.
You can assign a reviewer to the entire project. Then they will receive notifications and see all versions in the Review view. You can also assign a reviewer only to a specific task (in the side panel or in the project table under the Review column). In that case, only versions from those tasks will be shown in the Review view.
This way, you can assign project leads or supervisors to specific tasks so they can review the versions published by artists.

1. Project Navigation and Organization

On the left-hand sidebar, you will find the Project List [1]. Each entry displays the project name and a numerical indicator representing the total count of versions currently awaiting review within that project. Selecting a project updates the main gallery area to display its specific versions. If you need to refresh the data or toggle states, the Change Status icon [2] provides access to versions categorized under specific states such as Rejected, Rejected External, Delivery, or Client Review.

2. Gallery and Version Display

The main workspace [3] displays the versions as interactive thumbnails. Each thumbnail provides essential metadata including the Shot/Asset name, the task name (e.g., compositing, lighting), the version number [8], and the publish time.

3. Filtering and Sorting Tools

To manage large volumes of data, the top toolbar offers several management features:
Sorting [4]: Allows you to Sort versions based on published date or Name of the Task.
Sort Order [5]: Toggle between ascending or descending order to view the newest or oldest submissions first.
Filter Bar [6]: Use this text field to instantly narrow down the list by typing the name of a specific task, shot, or asset.
Only Latest Toggle [7]: When enabled, this filter hides older versions and displays only the most recent version of each output.

4. Playback and File Interaction

Depending on your platform and where the file is stored, there are multiple ways to interact with a version:
Side panel Access: Clicking directly on the Version Name [8] opens a side panel containing detailed metadata, history, and notes.
Desktop Integration: For users on the desktop application, you can launch media in an external professional player by clicking the Play button [9].
File Exploration: If you need to locate the source file on your local server or workstation, clicking the Folder icon [10] will browse directly to the file's directory.
Cloud Review: If the version is stored in the cloud, clicking the Thumbnail will launch the integrated Soko Player. This web-based player allows for frame-accurate playback, drawing tools, and real-time commenting for collaborative feedback.
