Multi frame notes allow a review note and its annotations to cover a frame range instead of only one frame. This is useful when feedback applies to motion, timing, a moving shape, or an issue that remains visible across several frames.
Multi Frame Note Interface
Multi-frame Annotation [1]: The drawing is attached to the note and can be visible across the selected frame range. Note Duration Bar [2]: Shows the frame range covered by the note. Frame Buttons [3]: Switch between the individual annotated frames inside the same note. Creating a Multi Frame Note
Hold and drag on the upper timeline bar to create a frame range. You can move the range left or right, or adjust the range manually when you want the note to cover a specific part of the shot.
After the range is selected, draw the required annotation on the relevant frames and write the note in the sidebar. When the note is submitted, the Review Player creates a duration bar for that note so the team can see that the feedback applies to multiple frames.
Reviewing a Multi Frame Note
When a multi-frame note is selected, the sidebar shows small frame buttons for the frames that belong to the same note. Click these buttons to jump between the annotated frames without creating separate notes.
The duration bar on the timeline makes it clear where the note starts and ends. This helps reviewers and artists understand whether the feedback is a single-frame issue or a timing/motion issue across a range.
Recommended Use
Use multi frame notes when:
The same drawing or comment applies to several frames. The issue is visible only during motion. You want to show a start and end frame for the requested change. You need one discussion thread for an issue instead of separate notes on multiple frames.
