illness - the state of being ill
injury - physical harm or damage to someone's body caused by an accident or an attack
cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) - a lifesaving technique that's useful in many emergencies, such as a heart attack or near drowning, in which someone's breathing or heartbeat has stopped.
treatment - the use of drugs, exercises, etc. to improve the condition of an ill or injured person, or to cure a disease
plaster - a small piece of sticky cloth or plastic that you use to cover and protect a cut in the skin
cut - an injury made when the skin is cut with something sharp
bleeding - the process of losing blood from the body
airway - the passage through the mouth and throat that carries air to the lungs
respiration - breathing
circulation - the movement of blood around the body
examination - the act of looking at or considering something carefully in order to discover something
obstruction - something that blocks a road, passage, entrance, etc. so that nothing can go along it, or the act of blocking something in this way
consciousness - the state of being awake, thinking, and knowing what is happening around you
pulse oximeter - a device, usually attached to the end of a person's finger, used to measure the level of oxygen in their blood
