Thank you for attending our Smart Wars #5 quiz! We hope you’ve enjoyed it and can’t wait to see you again.
Do not think that’s all! We have prepared feedback on the speaking skills you demonstrated during the game.
As usual we can’t help but admit that your English level is really high. The way you structure your speech and think how to make it clear for the listeners shows how seriously you take language learning.
Unfortunately, we’ve noticed that you had some technical issues during the game. Many students tend to call it ‘technical problems’ and that’s fine. However, it would be nice to enlarge your vocabulary with phrases to use during online meetings, like “The connection is slow” or “I got kicked out”. We’ve prepared a few recommendations that can help to master your English:
When you want to apologise for coming late, you’d better say Sorry for being late or Sorry that I’m late, but not Sorry for I’m late. In this article you can learn some more ways to say sorry when you are late
If you don’t know the gender of a person you are talking about, you can use a gender neutral pronoun they — Are they politicians?
Here is an interesting video on this topic
If you want to ask about gender, you can say Is this person male or female?

We hope that our feedback is useful for you!

You demonstrated a range of appropriate vocabulary and generally good grammatical control. You used simple grammatical forms with ease and attempted some more complex grammatical forms.
Here is a recommendation from us:
Try to use the indefinite article a/an when you talk about one member of a group or category — Is this person a character of the movie?
