Venture - a business project or activity, especially one that involves taking risks
Profit - the money that you make in business or by selling things, especially after paying the costs involved
Copyright - if a person or an organization holds the copyright on a piece of writing, music, etc., they are the only people who have the legal right to publish, broadcast, perform it, etc., and other people must ask their permission to use it or any part of it
Trademark - a name, symbol or design that a company uses for its products and that cannot be used by anyone else

Pitch - talk or arguments used by a person trying to sell things or persuade people to do something
Alliance - a group of people, political parties, etc. who work together in order to achieve something that they all want
Appraisal - a meeting in which an employee discusses with their manager how well they have been doing their job; the system of holding such meetings
Merger - the act of joining two or more organizations or businesses into one
