Painting
- the act or art of using paint to produce pictures
Canvas
- a piece of canvas used for painting on; a painting done on a piece of canvas, using oil paints
Brush
- an object made of short stiff hairs (called bristles) or wires set in a block of wood or plastic, usually attached to a handle. Brushes are used for many different jobs, such as cleaning, painting and tidying your hair
Shade
- a particular form of a colour, that is, how dark or light it is
Mix
- to prepare something by combining two or more different substances
Touch
- a small detail that is added to something in order to improve it or make it complete
Background
- the part of a picture, photograph or view behind the main objects, people, etc.
Blur
-if the shape or outline of something blurs, or if something blurs it, it becomes less clear and sharp
Draw
- to make pictures, or a picture of something, with a pencil, pen or
(but not paint)
Shape
-the form of the outer edges or surfaces of something; an example of something that has a particular form
Shadow
-the dark shape that somebody/something’s form makes on a surface, for example on the ground, when they are between the light and the surface
