Dopamine
- a chemical produced by nerve cells that has an effect on other cells.
Neurotransmitter
- a chemical that carries messages from nerve cells to other nerve cells or muscles.
Pleasure
- a thing that makes you happy or satisfied.
Cognition
- the process by which knowledge and understanding is developed in the mind.
Mindfulness
- a mental state achieved by concentrating on the present moment, while calmly accepting the feelings and thoughts that come to you, used as a technique to help you relax.
Restriction
- the act of limiting or controlling somebody/something.
Dependence
- the state of being
to something (= unable to stop taking or using it).
Distraction
- a thing that takes your attention away from what you are doing or thinking about.
Trick
- something that confuses you so that you see, understand, remember, etc. things in the wrong way.
