DAY 6

Esercitazione Day 6 EN

Exercise Title: "Build-Measure-Learn Cycle Simulation"

Objective:
To understand the fundamentals of the Build-Measure-Learn (BML) cycle and how it can be implemented in a Lean startup. Students will simulate the BML cycle using a practical example.
Duration: 2 hours
Materials Needed:
Whiteboards/flipcharts and markers
Sticky notes
Timer
Procedure:
Introduction (20 minutes)
Begin with a brief presentation on the Build-Measure-Learn cycle, its importance in a Lean Startup, and provide some examples. Explain how each phase of the cycle works.
Part 1: Build (30 minutes)
Divide the students into teams of 4-5 members.
Each team should come up with a hypothetical product idea. The idea could be a mobile app, a website, a physical product, etc. The idea does not have to be feasible - the purpose of the exercise is to learn the BML cycle.
Each team should brainstorm and come up with a minimum viable product (MVP) for their idea. They should define the basic features of the MVP that they think would solve the problem.
Part 2: Measure (30 minutes)
Each team should then decide on key performance indicators (KPIs) for their MVP. These are measures that they would use to determine the success or failure of the MVP. KPIs could include number of users, customer satisfaction score, revenue, etc.
The teams should then create a hypothetical data set for their KPIs.
Part 3: Learn (40 minutes)
Each team should analyze their hypothetical data and make conclusions about the success or failure of their MVP.
Based on their conclusions, each team should decide on changes or adjustments to be made to their MVP.
Part 4: Presentation and Discussion (30 minutes)
Each team should present their product idea, MVP, KPIs, data, and conclusions to the class.
The other teams and the teacher should provide feedback and ask questions.
Outcomes:
Students will understand the Build-Measure-Learn cycle and its importance in a Lean Startup.
Students will learn how to define KPIs and analyse data.
Students will practice their presentation skills and receive feedback on their work.
Students will understand how to make decisions based on data.
