Evidence - the facts, signs or objects that make you believe that something is true
Eyewitness - a person who has seen a crime, accident, etc. and can describe it afterwards
Suspicion - a feeling that somebody has done something wrong, illegal or dishonest, even though you have no proof
Trace - to find or discover somebody/something by looking carefully for them/it
Fingerprint - a mark made by the pattern of lines on the tip of a person’s finger, often used by the police to identify criminals
Victim - a person who has been attacked, injured or killed as the result of a crime, a disease, an accident, etc.
Search - to look carefully for something/somebody; to examine a particular place when looking for something/somebody
Criminal - a person who commits a crime
Offend - to commit a crime or crimes
