Chapter: 01. Living And Non Living Things

Living things: Organisms that need food, air, and water, breathe, move, grow, feel, and reproduce.
Non-living things: Objects that do not need food, air, or water, do not breathe, move on their own, grow, feel, or reproduce.
Natural Non-living Things: Non-living things that are found in nature and are not made by humans.
Human-made Non-living Things: Non-living things that are created by humans.
Photosynthesis: The process by which plants make their own food using sunlight, air, and water.
Spiracles: Tiny air holes present on the bodies of insects that help them to breathe.
Gills: Special organs that help aquatic animals like fish to take in oxygen dissolved in water.
Stomata: Tiny pores present on the underside of plant leaves through which they take in and give out air.
Antennae: Special body parts found on insects that help them to feel the changes around them.
Reproduction: The ability of living things to give birth to their own kind.
Lifespan: The approximate time for which a living organism lives.
Germination: The process by which a seed sprouts and begins to grow into a new plant.
