Character Profiles

1. Maya

Traits:

Reluctant but Adventurous: Initially hesitates to break her parents’ rules by using the rocket without a grown-up, but eventually gives in to Ava’s persuasion, showing a hidden adventurous streak.

Responsible: Though she agrees to the risky trip, she is mindful of her parents’ rules and tries to ensure the spaceship is on the right course after the danger passes.

Brave/Decisive: In the face of extreme danger from the black hole, she overcomes her fear to yell commands to the computer, trying to save them all.

Observant: She is the first to notice the distorted stars, indicating the unseen danger.

Intelligent/Inquisitive: She grasps Ava’s explanations and has further questions about black holes, showing a desire to understand.

Relationships:

Ava (Best Friend): Is influenced by Ava’s passion and persuasive nature, agreeing to the secret trip. They share the terrifying experience.

Reyhaan (Brother): Takes him along on the trip, implying a sense of responsibility for her younger sibling.

Parents: Fears their anger and tries to ensure they return before her parents discover their unauthorized journey.

2. Ava

Traits:

Passionate about Space/Astronomy: Loves everything about space, knows many facts about planets, stars, and black holes, and is eager to explore.

Persuasive: Successfully convinces Maya to take the forbidden trip to Pluto.

Knowledgeable: Acts as the resident expert on space, explaining complex scientific concepts to Maya and Reyhaan.

Excitable/Enthusiastic: Bounces with excitement at the start of the trip and eagerly reels off facts.

Fearful/Anxious: Becomes deeply scared and almost in tears when they realize they are near a black hole, stammering with fear.

Relationships:

Maya (Best Friend): The driving force behind the trip, pushing Maya out of her comfort zone. Relies on Maya to pilot the ship in crisis.

Reyhaan: Shares her knowledge with him, patiently explaining scientific concepts.

3. Reyhaan

Traits:

Curious: Asks many “Why?” questions about space phenomena and black holes, demonstrating a thirst for knowledge.

Tag-Along/Eager: Insists on joining the adventure, showing a desire not to be left out.

Easily Frightened: Squeals and shudders at the thought of the dangers of a black hole, reflecting a typical reaction for a child in such a terrifying situation.

Innocent/Childlike: His questions often highlight the extreme nature of the scientific concepts and the danger they are in, providing a relatable perspective.

Relationships:

Maya (Sister): Looks up to his older sister, who takes him on the adventure.

Ava: Learns from Ava’s explanations, asking her clarifying questions about space.
