Think Box
The teacher told Rajveer that he looked confident, so he would make a good leader. She also told Rajni that she is caring, and hence, she would look after children well. Do you think this observation is correct? Give reasons for your answer.
This observation is not entirely correct because it reinforces gender stereotypes. Leadership is not exclusive to boys, and caring is not exclusive to girls. Both boys and girls can possess qualities like confidence and caring, and both can be good leaders or caregivers. Abilities should be recognized based on individual merit, not on gendered expectations. Picture Study
