Trees are large and tall plants characterized by their strong, thick, woody stems called trunks, which are covered by hard bark. They have many branches that bear leaves, flowers, and fruits, and possess deep, strong roots. Trees typically live for many years. Examples include Gulmohar and Banyan. Spices are substances derived from dried parts of plants, such as seeds, fruits, leaves, roots, or barks, which are added to food. Their purpose is to enhance taste, add color, and provide aroma to dishes. Common examples include Clove (flower bud), Cinnamon (bark), and Chilli (fruit). Certain plants are known as medicinal plants because they provide ingredients used to make medicines for various ailments. For instance, Tulsi leaves are used to treat cough and cold, cloves are effective for toothaches, and Neem is used for skin infections due to its germ-killing properties. What are spices? Explain with examples. Spices are dried parts of plants, such as seeds, fruits, leaves, roots, or barks, which are used to make food tastier and to add color and aroma. For example, Cinnamon is a spice obtained from the bark of a plant, and Chilli is a spice obtained from the fruit of a plant. IV. Challenge
