Kidneys help in removing waste from our body by filtering waste products from the blood and producing urine.
STOMACH: The stomach is a J-shaped organ where food is churned and mixed with digestive juices.
A joint is the place where two or more bones meet, allowing us to bend.
Pranayam is a set of breathing exercises in yoga that helps in maintaining lung health.

The main function of the lungs © is to provide oxygen from the inhaled air to the bloodstream and to exhale carbon dioxide from the body.

Section F: Differentiate Concepts

Bones and Muscles: Bones are the hard parts that form the body’s framework (skeleton) and provide support and protection. Muscles are the soft parts that cover the bones and enable movement.
Inhalation and Exhalation: Inhalation is the process of breathing in oxygen-rich air, during which the diaphragm contracts and moves downwards. Exhalation is the process of breathing out carbon dioxide-rich air, during which the diaphragm moves upwards.

Section G: Long Answer Questions

The stomach is a J-shaped organ where food, after being swallowed, is churned and thoroughly mixed with digestive juices. This process helps to break down the food into smaller pieces. After the stomach, the food moves to the small intestine. Here, it is further digested by intestinal juices, and crucially, the nutrients from this digested food are absorbed into the blood. The large intestine then absorbs any extra water from the undigested food before it is eliminated from the body.
Two main causes of air pollution are the smoke and harmful gases released from factories and industries, and the fumes from car exhausts which contain dangerous gases. Two significant effects of air pollution are that it can make people sick, causing breathing difficulties and triggering conditions like asthma. It can also lead to more serious diseases such as lung cancer and various respiratory and heart problems.
