Chapter: 03. From Here To There

A monorail is a type of railway where the track consists of a single rail, often elevated, on which trains run or are suspended.
The invention of the wheel enabled the construction of carts, making travel much easier and faster over long distances by allowing vehicles to be pulled by animals.
Smaller boats are commonly used for moving on rivers and lakes.
Helicopters are useful because they can fly at low heights and land on almost any flat surface, making them suitable for places without airports.
The three different modes of transport are land transport, air transport, and water transport.
Some forms of water transport, like rowing boats and canoes, move with the help of human effort through actions like rowing or paddling.
Besides carrying people, space shuttles are used for humans to travel to space to gather information.
If all the fuel on Earth were used up, most vehicles like cars, buses, trucks, aeroplanes, and many ships would stop running, drastically altering transportation.
Two types of land transport vehicles that run on roads are cars and buses.
Cargo carried by ships refers to goods that are transported over long distances and are loaded and unloaded at a port.
It is encouraged to walk or cycle for short distances to avoid wasting fuel and to promote a healthier environment.
In some cities, metros and trams are used as rail-based transport systems to help people move efficiently.
Before the wheel, people primarily moved by walking long distances and carrying goods on their backs or on the backs of animals.
Trains are distinguished by the fact that they run exclusively on dedicated railway tracks, unlike cars and buses which use roads.
