Summer/Fall 2021 Menu

Why this page exists

Imagine going to a restaurant and having the waiter bring you the menu in pieces. You order your food, but every five or ten minutes the waiter comes back with a new list of items you can order. The new options look really good, but you’ve already ordered and there’s only so much you can eat in a single meal.
That’s what MAP has been like for some members. I’ve dripped new labs, events, and groups into the community over a period of weeks. For members who are time and energy-constrained, this can be frustrating. This menu should help.

, and
in the community.
Effort
: The relative estimated effort required to participate.
⭐️:
Low
— Show up to most events or complete a short, go-at-your-own-pace lab.
⭐️⭐️:
Medium
— A group that meets a few times a month; May include occasional to-do’s between meetups; Or a lab that requires a number of weeks and/or meetups to complete.
⭐️⭐️⭐️:
High
— A lab that requires regular meetups with work in-between and/or presentations participants must prepare for ahead of time.
One-time only?
Refers to something (usually a lab) that you’ll probably only want to do once. Examples:
Getting started with MAP
is a lab that you would only take once. You’ll still have access to the lab materials, but you wouldn’t need to plan to allocate time for it in future seasons.
Small-Scale Research
or
The Dinner Club
are things that are different each season.
Lead member(s)
: This is who is leading the lab, group, or event. You can get in touch with this person in the community if you have questions.
Add to favorites
