Wicker Park

Can a place get so hipster that it gentrifies the hipsters out? That's Wicker, and you should visit anyway.

This is what I saw on my most recent walk in Wicker Park. Who knows what you’ll see! Though it’s filled with tourists nowadays, Wicker Park is still a place to see and be seen for the most hip of hipsters.
There are coffee shops, record stores, book stores, vintage stores & some great food (ramen, pasta, pastries, poke, all kinds of stuff — ).
Even though it’s basic, I think it’s a great place to spend an afternoon and see what Chicago is all about.

Wormhole Coffee
Famous hipster coffee shop
I’ll ruin the surprise — it’s famous because there’s a Dolorean on the ceiling. Good coffee, very hipster despite Wicker being gentrified away from the hipsters.

I hate myself for putting this on here because it’s a huge national chain & a huge personal addiction.

Crossroads
Consignment store
Some nice vintage pieces to be found, but not cheap for thrifting. But it’s fun to hit up all the thrift stores in Wicker Park! (there are a couple on the same block)
