Internal Changes

info

Context

With the current move to Tylney Road, there has been concern about the short time between the Saturday morning ministry and the afternoon meeting.
The following options explore adjustments we can make internally as a congregation, without requiring input or approval from the Branch, Circuit Overseer, or other congregations.
1-c

Adjust Ministry Time

Proposal

Adjust ministry start time from 10:30 AM → 10:00 AM.
This would create a 4 hour 30 minute gap between ministry and the afternoon meeting

Pros:

Provides more time to rest between activities
May help improve punctuality for the meeting

Cons:

Earlier start time may reduce productivity if fewer householders are available to talk
2-c

Adjust Ministry & Meeting Time

Proposal:

Ministry: Move to 10:00 AM
Meeting: Start at 3:00 PM instead of 2:30 PM

Pros:

Adds an extra hour between ministry and meeting, allowing more time to travel, rest, or have lunch

Cons:

Later meeting start means a later finish, which could impact evening activities or routines
3-c

Move Group Arrangement to Sunday

Proposal:

Shift the Saturday group ministry arrangement to Sunday at 11am. There would still be one ministry arrangement on Saturday.

Pros:

Removes the Saturday time constraint entirely
Makes it easier to plan longer ministry days or follow-up visits after the service

Cons:

Represents a larger schedule change; some have just settled into the new routine
Sunday ministry attendance is currently lower and may need strengthening

4-c

Adjust Meeting Time Only

Proposal

Adjust the meeting start time to 3:00 PM (without changing ministry times).

Pros:

Helps alleviate travel pressure and reduce lateness to the meeting

Cons:

Can only be implemented in January and would apply for the entire year
