This elective would not have been possible without the support of a few key individuals who have truly been a blessing to us. While we would love to honor each and every one of them, there are simply too many to name.
To the Farr Family—Ant, Susannah, Dasher, and Kassie—thank you for hosting us so warmly and for opening countless doors that allowed us to experience the adventure of a lifetime. Your generosity and guidance have inspired us to steward the opportunities, resources, and networks we've been blessed with to become changemakers in the realm of healthcare.
To Wilson, our incredible driver and cultural guide, thank you for navigating us safely across Rwanda and back again, for keeping us entertained, and for sharing insights into the rich local culture.
To David, for hosting us so graciously in Kibogora, for showing us the rhythms of local life, and for the privilege of joining your Bible Study group—thank you for making us feel at home and enriching our time with such meaningful connections.
To Emmanuel and the Nzungize family, we are deeply grateful for your role in making our stay in Kibogora possible. Your efforts to facilitate our visit, involve us in church activities, and welcome our ideas with open hearts truly made our experience extraordinary.
To Dr. Yimal, thank you for your incredible mentorship in pediatrics and for sharing not only your knowledge but also your home and life with us for an entire month. Your generosity and expertise were a gift we will cherish.
To Liba, Solange, Aliya, and the other doctors rotating through the Kibogora wards, thank you for welcoming us so warmly and for teaching us so much during our time together.
