PDE teams leverage Coda to increase their ship velocity and quality with use cases like:

Documentation to drive decisions within their PRDs.
Figma example
Replace: Confluence, GDocs, Paper

Team hubs / wikis like with an agile feature pod that bring the team together.
Intercom example
Replace: Notion

Applications that run the business with solutions like tracking OKRs and managing Product Launches.
Qualtrics example
Replace: Sheets, Asana, smartsheets, 15Five

Coda integrates deeply in to your tech stack:
Design embeds: Figma, Miro
Ticket tracker syncs: Jira, Linear, Azure dev
Chat notifications: Slack, MSFT Teams
Code reviews: Github
Metrics visualizations: Amplitude, Mode
And that’s just to name a few of the more than 500 other pre-built connections.
Of course, there’s an open API to connect with any in-house tools like your data warehouse and product datasets.

After partnering with so many innovative product teams, we’ve gathered best practices and have “productized” these processes & rituals in to a product design & engineering operating system — or ProductOS for short.

The rest of this video will cover the Product LaunchCal solution part of the ProductOS.
Essentially, how we take an feature idea all the way from prioritization during planning and launch it to market.... in a consistent way, while aligning all the stakeholders through the process.

There are 4 key “personas” who will be using this “application” and we’ll spend some time with each to show what it looks like for them and how they can benefit from this solution.

PM
So putting on my Product manager hat. Here we have a new feature, fresh out of planning. It’s time to get it going.
New feature list

As a PM, I’ll work with GTM Stakeholders to decide what tier (sometimes called launch size or volume) it should be.
You can upload your own launch steps template for each tier. And what it’ll do is adjust what needs to be done. For example:
Tier 1 - a large new product introduction, needs many steps at 80
Tier 4 - some bug fixes, needs significantly less at 25
Open up modal
Click in to tiers, show the toggle and concept.
Click “add launch steps” for a Tier 1

What you’ll see is all the launch tasks, as well as XFN sign offs, coming through.
This is the one place for visibility on how the feature is tracking across the (PDLC) product development lifecycle.

Stakeholders
There are so many people who need to be involved for a successfully launch. Beyond just PDE, we have GTM, Legal, Finance, even external partners.

Before: copy and paste in Slack, spreadsheets, their own PM tool, meetings — so many meetings.

Now:
High-level: Launch calendar, timeline, details
Click through the delivery page.

Granular: a space and views for every stakeholder
Filtered down to just that launch.
Marketing page

And a simple, clean way for them to engage, even in their own process / document.
Create new doc with sync page: Marketing doc / hub.
Approve / done done done.

Eng manager
Speaking of stakeholders, what about our eng partners?
Their are going to be working out of dev tracker of choice, Jira
Jira project -

That’s ok; it’s actually good. Remember, we’re designing the lowest friction interfaces. And a simple Epic URL here can pull in all the relevant meta data from Jira to keep your Coda roadmap aligned with Jira delivery.

CPO
Equip leadership with insights in to how the team is tracking and where they can help.
Exec dashboard

And give them an easy place to draw their own conclusions.
Reporting space
AI sparkle in the corner (or not).

[Product people building products]
”Design your process like you’d design a product.” - Yuhki CPO of Figma who’s been a big Coda user since day one.
We’re product people, and we think about user interfaces, all day. And while the PMs benefit a ton, the key persona or user is actually the stakeholders we’re designing for. The folks who we struggle to bring in to the fold, get their buy-in / reviews / sign-offs. “How might we design an interface with our PDLC that integrates the processes of marketing, sales, finance, legal — all of our partners who are key to making this thing successful?” Or rather “are their ways to automate the cat herding?”
