June 2014: Founded as Krypton ー "Give users the superpowers of developers"

Let's start from scratch and build a new doc!

Raised $60M in financing: $25M in 2014 (Greylock, GC, KPCB), $35M in 2015 (Khosla, NEA)

Stealth mode till 2017 Beta (top 25 all-time ProductHunt launch) ー drew 50k+ signups

Feb 2019: Coda 1.0 Launch ー "Docs as powerful as apps"

Generally available for signup

Grew to 300k+ signups. Tens of thousands of engaged users.

Oct 2019: Coda 2.0 Launch ー "A new doc for teams"

Innovative Maker Billing model that makes it easier for creators to build and share with teams.

Introduced team Workspaces, quickly grew to tens of thousands of teams

August 2020: Series C

$80M funding as teams across the global collaborate remotely.

25k teams use us, including companies defining the future of work like Spotify, The New York Times, Uber, DoorDash, and Square, Figma.
