Page Icons

These “logos” for each of your pages give them more visual context and means, plus it’s more funny with a little color and iconography, that’s why our favorite apps like Instagram or Slack do this.

When you create a new page and type in the name of that page, Coda is going to be helpful and search our icons library to find the right one for your needs. If nothing comes up automatically, trying searching other keywords that can help describe your page ー I’m sure you’ll find something good.

Sub pages (and nesting pages)

Coda docs use Pages and Subpages to help you organize your information. One top-level Page can have many levels of Subpages nested underneath, as needed for your doc.

From the top-level page, you have many options for how to display them. Here’s one of my favorite examples:

Hide subpage: You can hide them completely. Great when there’s just one subpage.
Small will show them on a single row and wrap when there are many subpages.
Medium will make two columns of subpages.
Large will bring the cover image, subtitle, and author through (if those exist).

Pro tip: Each page has its own unique URL, so you can share that link with anyone and they go right to that place in the doc.
