This Week’s Bible Story
Psalm 139 — which begins, "O Lord, you have searched me and you know me" — reminds kids that God is with them anywhere they go!
Memory Verse: I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. PSALM 139:14
Check-in + Worship
As kids check in, invite them to join their parents in the Auditorium during worship. Once the worship set ends, wait in the back for kids to join you and lead them back to the Zion Kids area.
Connect
Let each kid answer today’s icebreaker question: What is something about you that most people don’t know?
Bible Story
Look up Psalm 139 and teach the Bible passage in your own words.
Debrief
The psalm says we are "fearfully and wonderfully made." What do you think that means? If you could thank God for something about the way He made you, what would it be? The psalm says God’s thoughts about us are more than the grains of sand. Why do you think God thinks about you so much? Prayer Time
Close your small group time by praying with your kids. This week’s prayer focus is on PRAISE PRAYERS. Ask the kids in your group, “What is one thing you love about God?” (You may need to prompt kids with ideas.) Take time to pray for each of the things that were shared.
Activity
THIS WEEK’S CRAFT: Give each child one of the activity pages and encourage them to cut it out. Then show them how to fold it into a cube and tape it together.
