This Week’s Bible Story

Psalm 92 celebrates all that God gives his kids and the joy found in giving him gratitude.
Memory Verse: But you, O Lord, will be exalted forever. PSALM 92:8

Check-in + Worship
8:30 - 9:05
10:30 - 11:05

As kids check in, invite them to join their parents in the Auditorium during worship. Once the worship set ends, wait in the back for kids to join you and lead them back to the Zion Kids area.

Connect
9:05 - 9:15
11:05 - 11:15

Let each kid answer today’s icebreaker question: What musical instrument would you use to worship God if you could pick any?

Bible Story
9:15 - 9:30
11:15 - 11:30

Look up Psalm 92 and teach the Bible passage in your own words.

Debrief
9:30 - 9:40
11:30 - 11:40

What are some ways this psalm says we can praise God?
How can we “grow strong” in our faith like the trees in the psalm?
What do trees need to grow? How is that like what we need to grow closer to God?
What’s one thing you learned about God from this psalm?

Prayer Time
9:40 - 9:45
11:40 - 11:45

Close your small group time by praying with your kids. This week’s prayer focus is on THANK YOU PRAYERS. Ask the kids in your group, “What is something good that you can thank God for?” Take time to pray for each of the things that were shared.)

Activity
9:40 - 9:45
11:40 - 11:45

Place the straws and tape on the tables. Instruct the kids to pick a few straws in different sizes and have them lay them in order from tallest to shortest. Then show them how to tape them together to make a flute. Remind kids that musical instruments such as flutes are things we can use to worship God.
