This Week’s Bible Story
Peter’s Vision and Cornelius (Acts 10) Peter told Cornelius and his friends that God’s love is not just for a select few. God sent His gift of the Holy Spirit to Jews and Gentiles alike. God’s love and the forgiveness is available to everyone who chooses to believe in Jesus. God welcomes everyone!
Play Time + Check-in
Greet kids and families as they arrive. Make connections with kids by getting on their level, playing with them and asking fun questions to get to know them.
Worship Time
Have your kids line up and lead them to worship.
Bible Story
Use the Bible App for Kids Storybook provided to read this week’s Bible story: Everybody’s Welcome (page 316).
Memory Verse
Introduce this month’s memory verse by saying it out loud and showing them the motions. Have the kids practice by repeating after you.
will receive power (flex your muscles) when the Holy Spirit (point to the sky) comes upon you. (cross your arms over your chest) Acts 1:8 (open and close your hands like a book) Prayer
Close your small group time by praying with your kids. This week’s prayer focus is on PRAISE PRAYERS. Ask the kids in your group, “What is one thing you love about God?” (You may need to prompt kids with ideas.) Take time to pray for each of the things that were shared.
Craft + Snack
Invite the kids to take a seat at the table to work on this week’s craft. Supplies will be provided, as well as an example of the craft. Pass out snacks as kids are working on their craft.
THIS WEEK’S CRAFT: Lay the strips of colored paper on the tables and invite kids to decorate them by drawing a person on each one (a face, stick figure, etc.). Then help kids staple the papers together to make one long paper chain. Explain how God loves all people and the kingdom of God is made up of many different people — just like all of the different colors in our paper chain.
