This Week’s Bible Story
The Triumphal Entry (Matthew 21) Jesus is the King that God promised would come. When Jesus rode in on the donkey, He was showing the people who He was. They honored Him, shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is the King of Israel!”
Play Time + Check-in
Greet kids and families as they arrive. Make connections with kids by getting on their level, playing with them and asking fun questions to get to know them.
Worship Time
Have your kids line up and lead them to worship.
Bible Story
Use the storybook provided to read this week’s Bible story: The Donkey and The King (page 234).
Memory Verse
Introduce this month’s memory verse by saying it out loud and showing them the motions. Have the kids practice by repeating after you.

Close your small group time by praying with your kids. This week’s prayer focus will include a PRAYER OF BLESSING. Look up Numbers 6:24-26 and pray it over the kids in your group: “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
Craft + Snack
Invite the kids to take a seat at the table to work on this week’s craft. Supplies will be provided, as well as an example of the craft. Pass out snacks as kids are working on their craft.
THIS WEEK’S CRAFT: Pass out the activity sheets and encourage kids to cut out their palm branches. Help kids glue them onto the popsicle sticks.
